Living in a residence
hall, also known as a “dorm,” with other students your
age experiencing freedom for the first time can be a blast.
But
we’re
not going to lie to you—the lack of privacy,
the noise, and
the constant activity can drive you nuts at the same time. If you
know what to expect, can learn to live with roommates, and are good
at managing your time, however, you’ll reap all the benefits
of dorm living.
And you’ll probably make some of the best friends of your
life.

While living in a residence
hall with so many people, be sure to take care of yourself.
Watch your eating,
sleeping, and exercise habits; stay healthy; and stay safe.
Be aware of your campus
rules;
try not to get written up.”
“Do not room with a friend or family member.
You can be in the same dorm but not the same room.”
“Resolve conflicts with roommates quickly and openly.”
