Completing assignments

Taking notes, studying, and taking tests are all important—but so is completing day-to-day assignments, whether it’s finishing your reading to be prepared for class discussion, completing short writing exercises, or writing entire term papers. Keys to success with these assignments include:
Review requirements such as content and formatting. Your teachers may have cut you some slack in high school, but in college you may find that your most brilliant paper gets a bad grade if your bibliography is sloppy or formatted improperly. Take those variables out of the equation so the professor can focus on your work.
Check due dates and turn assignments in on time, every time. If you’re having trouble meeting a deadline, let the professor know as soon as possible.
Remember that college is different from high school. Professors are more interested in your thoughts, opinions, and creativity than in your ability to repeat information.
