Attending classes

It sounds like a no-brainer—while in college, you should go to class. In fact, not going to class is like shredding your money. To add insult to injury, you can get behind in class and develop a poor reputation with the professor. But you won’t believe how tempting it is to sleep through class or bask in the sunshine with your friends rather than go to class. Going to class, however, is one of the simplest things you can do to succeed in college. In particular, professors note that you should:
• Arrive on time, appropriately dressed.
• Turn off your cellphone.
• Pay attention and interact; answer questions and offer opinions.
• Don’t start packing up before the class is over; pay attention until the professor dismisses the class.

Common sense, right? Get to class and you get your money’s worth.
